In the Wireless Japan conference 2008, which was held on 22nd to 24th July, NTT DoCoMo showed off their intelligent Li-ION battery for mobile handsets.
Gearlog reported this: NTT DoCoMo?s idea is to find double troubles witn the Li-ION battery and relay it to the user.

To accomplish this, NTT DoCoMo has embedded an 8-bit microcomputer onto the battery pack that is responsible for monitoring current, temperature, voltage, deterioration and remaining battery level.
When a problem is detected, information will be projected to the users mobile phone screen informing them of the situation.
But the most important feature is all this relevant information is actually stored on the battery and not the SIM or mobile phone, thus if a user changes the mobile handset they will still have access to the information if they just change batteries.

The FCC has recently unveiled a new mobile phone manufactured by Ezze Mobile Tech, the image we have available shows the new mobile, which is called ?MEGA4.?
The ?MEGA4? mobile handset shows the combination of Sony Ericsson buttons with an Apple iPhone?s menu, which by its self isn?t surprising really.
What is surprising is that Ezze Mobile Tech is actually going for FCC approval, which is somewhat strange because sooner or later Ezze Mobile Tech is bound to get hit with a patent lawsuit.
As for spec, Engadget got hold of these, this ?MEGA4? mobile handset offers up a touch-screen, quad-band GSM/GPRS radio, TV Out, and Bluetooth support.

With the release of Opera Mobile 9.5 it is obvious it has its share of those dreaded bugs, and to keep up with their beta users Opera has launched their first update to Opera Mobile 9.5.
This beta1 update apparently fixes an audio bug which turns off notification sounds, and it seems this update was quick and easy to roll out as further significant updates will take extra time.
According to Opera: We have updated the beta1 with a fix for the (very annoying) bug that turned off the notification sounds. The notification bugfix was relatively trivial and had a low risk. We are aware of the other bugs and issues, but these aren?t addressed in this update.

Once Flixwagon posted their video demo of their app running on a jailbroken Apple iPhone last month, many iPhoner?s have been eagerly awaiting for Flixwagon to go live with their iPhone app.
Well iPhoners you need wait no longer because Flixwagon has announced they are now live with Flixwagon for iPhone. The app is currently in alpha stage testing, so please don?t expect everything to run hunky dory.

Without a native video recording option for the Apple iPhone we are of a mind that Flixwagon will definitely do well as hoards of iPhones rush for the public program.

Unfortunately if you are an iPhone 3G owners or have recently updated to the iPhone 2.0 OS, Flixwagon won?t be working for you just yet.

Sony Ericsson seem to be pumping out mobiles quicker than anything these days, and now they announce their latest the Sony Ericsson G705 slider; although this isn?t an official announcement the images certainly appear real enough.
And GSMArena has got hold of the latest Sony Ericsson G705 scoop via SE4M . The G705 is said to be being officially announced within the next 2 weeks and is of a slider configuration with a 3 megapixel camera and built-in GPS receiver.

The latest snippet of news has it that the Sony Ericsson G705 will sport WiFi thus makes this mobile phone that much more attractive.

The down side is that the phone?s camera doesn?t have auto-focus and only as a LED flash rather than Xenon. However the G705 will support geo-tagging thanks to that GPS receiver.
