The EISA, the European Imaging and Sound Association have awarded the Samsung SDH-G810 mobile phone the ?European Photo Phone 2008-2009? award.

The EISA Convergence Panel said: ?Is it a phone or is it a camera? Only a few years ago the SGH-G810?s features would have been unimaginable on anything but a high-spec camera.? In addition to the technical capabilities, the judges also commented that, ?Best of all?, it manages to look, at once, both elegant and robust.?

President of Samsung Telecommunication Business, Geesung Choi, has said he is delighted to have the SSGH-G810 receive the EISA award.

The Samsung SGH-G810 offers the usertri-band 900/1800/1900MHz, HSDPA 3.2 Mbps, Symbian v9.2 S60 3rd edition, 5-megapixel camera CMOS with Xenon Flash + CIF, 2.6? 262K TFT QVGA display, Macro Shot, Panorama Shot, Mosaic & Multi Shot, 3x Optical Zoom/ 4x Digital Zoom, WDR Optimizer, Face Detection.

Just what steps will people go too to ensure the Apple iPhone 3G is a big seller in their country? When Apple first launched the iPhone 3G in the US, fans parted company with some heavy duty cash to be amongst the first to own it.

While over in Poland is appears they are trying a new tactic, like paying people to line up for the Apple iPhone 3G?are sales that bad?

Well the answer to that is no, these are fake queues to dupe others into rushing to get their Apple iPhone 3G.

A spokesman has said: “We have these fake queues at front of 20 stores around the country to drum up interest in the iPhone.”

Apparently as part of Orange?s marketing campaign in Poland they are paying dozens of actors to line up and create the illusion of large queues outside the stores.

Does this seem a tad deceiving to you? Come on Orange, you should dhow your customers more respect.

Canada?s Rogers Wireless became the first carrier in North America to ship Research In Motion?s BlackBerry Bold, Research In Motion?s first 3G for GSM networks smartphone.

The Canadian edition of the BlackBerry Bold downloads apps from the Rogers portal at the faster HSDPA rates and the model centres round the sharper 480 x 320 LCD, and incorporates GPS, 2 megapixel camera with flash and video capture, WiFi, and 1GB permanent lockable storage.

So having been chosen to be the first in North America to ship the BlackBerry Bold, what does Rogers do? Well they ship it out at twice the price of the Apple iPhone 3G that?s what.

So it seems Rogers didn?t learn anything when they launched the Apple iPhone 3G, it amazes me how greedy some of these carriers can be. The Apple iPhone 3G has been the success it has mainly due to the lower price tag. Shame Rogers has to encumber the success of the BlackBerry Bold by pushing it out at double the price of the iPhone 3G.

So let?s see, iPhone 3G for $199.00 or BlackBerry Bold for $400.00?which one would you go for?

There are probably more iPod docks in the world than there are iPods. So the fact that there is another dock on the market isn’t surprising. Yet this one looks rather nice. The Xi jukebox was created specifically for housing the iPod in a full scale 1950’s inspired jukebox.

The jukebox contains the traditional numbered buttons, some nice speakers(Mk7 Twin channel amplifier, 150w per channel, 2 x tweeter 2 x mid range and 1 x 12 twin cone bass speaker), an LCD display screen for viewing the videos on your iPod and a remote control.

Each jukebox is hand built to order and also features LED lights throughout that can be changed depending on your preferences.

The price? Close to $11,000.

This one is for all you UK iPhoner?s out there who have been holding off getting the new Apple iPhone 3G in favour of the white version.

Carphone Warehouse, as from today will be selling the sexy white Apple iPhone 3G for the first time.

Up until today if customers wanted the white version of the iPhone 3G they needed to visit an Apple store, but now that is all changing.

The Carphone Warehouse is still most keen to push the iPhone 3G on the O2 network and so will be stoking this white version 16GB iPhone 3G and offering it to the public at the same tariff as the black iPhone 3G.

Which should mean iPhoner?s will be able to acquire the white iPhone 3G for free on a contract at £75.00 per month.

The only question now is how long will stoke of the white version last?

Apple iPhone 3G can now stream video via Flixwagon?

by Techno Witch on August 22, 2008

Following on the release of Flixwagon for jailbroken Apple iPhones that run iPhone 1.xx OS, Flixwagon have now gone live with Flixwagon for iPhone 3G and iPhone 2.0 OS.

Flixwagon promises to deliver video capture for the Apple iPhone and now for Apple iPhone 3G with the prospect of streaming live video via your iPhone handset to the web.

As we all know Apple will not allow the iPhone and iPhone 3G to capture or stream video live to the web so don?t expect to see Flixwagon at the Apple App Store.

To gain Flixwagon on your iPhone there are a few necessary changes to be made. The user will need to update Cydia through the ?Changes? tab, and then locate ?Flixwagon? under the ?Multimedia? category.

Next hit ?Install? and follow with ?Confirm? then return to the home screen and the Flixwagon icon should now be present, although you may be required to flick through a couple of home screens. That?s it; you are now ready to go.

The Swiss Army Knife Of Pens

by Techno Witch on August 22, 2008

Pens are usually boring, and not worth a second glance. However, this particular pen has more functions than your average Swiss Army knife. Trust me, if you were stranded out in the wild, this is the pen you would want.

You get 13 tools in one gadget. Everything ranging from a steel file, saw, screwdriver and even an ear pick. Why you would need a special tool to pick your ear is beyond me. For $15, you really can’t go wrong here.

Chococlock Rewards You With Chocolate Every Hour

by Techno Witch on August 22, 2008

Are you one of those people that really just hates their job? You constantly find yourself looking at the clock, only to find a few minutes have passed (even though it seems like hours since you last looked). Well, here’s a clock that might just help you make it through the day.

Every hour, on the hour, this Chococlock delivers a small chocolate treat. Much like a cuckoo clock, it opens a pair of doors to reveal the candy for 30 seconds. Of course if you’re not quick, it will simply hide away your treat for another hour. This novelty clock will run you around $40, which is probably more than its worth since it would be much easier to just eat chocolate whenever you wanted.
