Falcon radio controlled helicopter shoots balls

by Techno Witch on September 29, 2008

Summer is long gone, but that doesn’t mean you can’t look forward to next year’s edition! The Falcon radio controlled helicopter is different from the rest since it not only flies around like an irritating insect, it is also capable of holding BB balls in its cargo hold, shooting it at your intended target to make yourself more of a pest than ever before to the people around you. The batteries are able to last for eight minutes of flight, but I would say you would probably be trigger happy and finish up your rounds way before the eight minutes are up.

When turned on, you will find a stunning and classy luminous effect, although there would be certain quarters who will think that it looks tardy instead. Nero thinks hardware for Tivo recording

by Techno Witch on September 29, 2008

Seeing that more and more people are getting their entertainment through their PCs, TIVO wants to take advantage of an emerging market. So, they go to a company who makes software for DVD burning. Becoming partners, Nero and TIVO have announced the first TIVO for PC use. Known as Nero LiquidTV| TiVo PC, the package includes both hardware and software which will let users record TV directly to their PC with the ease of your average DVR. The nice thing is that it sounds as if LiquidTV won?t come with the burdensome DRM laden TIVO to Go restrictions, as once TV programs are recorded, the shows can be exported to PSP, iPod or DVD directly.

The TiVo PC remote, TV tuner card, and an IR blaster combine for a wireless connection between the satellite or cable box and the PC. LiquidTV | TiVoPC will retail for about $199, with the software alone going for just south of a hundred. But here?s something I find baffling. Although LiquidTV comes with a year free of the TIVO service, you?ll have to pay for TIVO after that. Huh? Why would I want to do that when I can get off the shelf hardware, install MythTV or some other open source DVR, or even play with Windows Media Center for no monthly pittance?

Sony Walkman Players: The B-Series

by Techno Witch on September 29, 2008

Some of you may remember back in the eighties, when Sony?s Walkmans (Walkmen? What is the plural on that?) dominated the portable music market. This was in the days before MP3s, and earlier models actually had (gasp!) cassettes.

Sony may not ever beat out the iPod, but they are still in the portable music game. In fact, this isn?t the first time we have covered Sony?s new Walkman series, but last time, we only had a little information and no picture of the B-Series.

As you can see, the B-Series is a capsule shaped wonder that looks a lot like your typical USB flash drive. That is because the end of the B-Series is designed to pop off to reveal a USB port for some Plug-and-Play action.

The MP3 player is designed with an FM tuner, and has a quick charge function. Unfortunately, I have heard from my sources that the battery life is not long. I have also heard that the display screen is incredible tiny, as you might be able to see.

The B-Series is available already in a variety of colors including black, pink, blue, and red in 1GB and 2GB versions. The 1GB version is about $44.99, and the 2GB version costs about $59.99.

Slim Trim Razor keeps lines even

by Techno Witch on September 29, 2008

If you’re trying to look nice but without running to the barber all of the time you might pick up one of these razors. You just adjust it to the perfect width of side burns and you get straight lines. That is unless you happen to jump or something and end up with a small squiggle in the wrong direction. However, as long as you take your time and don’t rush through the job you should be fine. I suppose it also could be used in other areas of your beard if you’re the type that likes to get creative though.

Sadly, this is still just a design but as much as the razor companies are always looking for an edge over the competition I don’t see it staying that way. They are always adding more blades and claiming to be far superior of anyone else. The design was created by James McAdam who is from London. Which also could mean that those in that part of the world would get it first and those of us in the US would have to wait a little longer.
