Have you run out of gift ideas for your loved ones this holiday season? Well, why not let DNA 11 help you out in this aspect? After all, we’re pretty sure that dad is sick and tired of receiving yet another belt-and-tie gift box, while mom might take offence at a new vacuum cleaner as if she doesn’t already have enough to do around the home already. DNA 11 has the perfect gift solution – something that will never cross the minds of most people – it has released its latest gift idea, the DNA Mini Portraits. This line of more affordable DNA art will bring together art, technology, beauty and pop culture in a single piece.
According to Adrian Salamunovic, co-founder of DNA11, “We are now able to offer an ideal price point for our DNA portraits, allowing more people around the world to enjoy the true personalization and beauty of DNA Art. Our customers have been asking for more affordable luxury gifting solutions and now they can purchase a DNA Mini Portrait in time for the holidays.”
The DNA Mini Portrait is actually a much smaller version of DNA 11’s larger custom portraits. It won’t break the bank either, retailing for a pocket friendly $169 while measuring 8″ x 10″ (20cm x 25cm) in size. Each purchase will be delivered to the customers’ door in a modern glass frame that can be placed on a tabletop or hung on the wall. This is beginning to sound like an ideal gift for family, friends and colleagues, and it also isn’t too far off the mark if one were to use it as a corporate gift – guaranteed to fascinate and intrigue any executive or co-worker.
Once you have placed your order, you will receive collection kit that includes a simple cheek swab and instructions. Follow the instructions carefully and choose from 25 color combinations, fill up a card with your name or personal message at the bottom of the image and you’re good to go. You can also choose to isolate and visualize your “brain gene” and “sport gene” in the portrait without forking out a single penny more. Each print is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Seems like the big issue for the US President elect Barack Obama could be that he isn?t allowed to use his cherished Blackberry smartphone in the Whitehouse. In a recent interview with ABC?s Barbara Walters, Obama touch on the important political issues including the great BlackBerry smartphone debate.
Due to the Presidential Records Act, ole Barack isn?t allowed his BlackBerry smartphone at his side, but Barack isn?t throwing in the towel on his BlackBerry and hopes he can keep his BlackBerry for some worthwhile reasons.
Tough call for Barack, who seems to be one of the most wired and online president the US has seen, and it is probably best he remains connected to the American public, who after all did put him in the position.

Looks like the Canadians are about to get hold of Research In Motion?s big beautiful BlackBerry baby the BlackBerry Storm as Canadians can now step up to the internet and pre-order the first RIM touch-screen smartphone at Future Shop.
The BlackBerry Storm for Canada will be with Telus and Future Shop have it off contract for $649.99 and is limited to 1 handset per household with an estimated drop on the 8th of December.

As Future Shop have limited the pre-order of the Telus BlackBerry Strom, one can presume that the Storm is going to be in short supply in Canada for the time being, so maybe if you want it you should get that pre-order in quick.

One can safely say the Google Android T-Mobile G1 has its fair share of accelerometers, pop open compass mode in Google?s Street View and you?ll see that. However one thing the T-Mobile G1 is sadly lacking is some auto-rotation goodness.
But as with all things mobile phone wise, the hard working android developer community comes to the rescue with a nice hack to sort the problem out, and Google?s all?s fair policy towards 3rd-party applications should guarantee this app should be easily available to G1-ers.
The developer has even produced a video demonstration of this neat auto-rotation app in action, and judging from the video it seems to be working just fine.

Next year, Nokia is planning on shipping a complete phone based home solution called the Z-wave Home Control Centre, which allows the user to control the system in their home via a web enabled mobile browser.
The Z-wave Home Control Centre platform is said to be open to improve interoperability whilst cutting costs which are associated with propriety solutions. So basically what Nokia is attempting to do is what Google has done with Android but Nokia want to do it in your home.
The word is Nokia will partner RWE who own nPower in the UK, and intend to develop a “comprehensive solution for managing energy consumption and CO2 footage at home.” Also the rumour is we will be seeing a working demo of this at February 09 Mobile World Congress.
