Everyone likes something that?s free, and BlackBerry Bold users can now grab hold of a free game for their BlackBerry Bold, and developer Papped has customised a free version of Tetris for the BlackBerry Bold, improved game controls and graphics.
The free download even includes that unmistakable Tetris song, and the over the air download may just even work on over BlackBerry handsets.
So BlackBerry Bold owners it?s not often something comes along for nothing so if you want Tetris for the Bold hit up the source, and if you like it make a small donation to the developer in appreciation.
Here’s a great way to kick off the morning. There is no better way to greet the day than to start it with a bit of violence. No one really likes their alarm clock, for a great deal of reasons really. First of all it is dragging you out of bed and to top it off, most alarm clocks are just plain annoying. I know it’s had to occur to you on at least one occasion to pick up the clock and chuck it at the nearest wall or at the very least to pound it into tiny pieces.
This alarm clock allows for you to get that frustration out every morning. To make it stop that obnoxious beeping stop, just punch the top of the alarm. It might even make it fun to wake up in the morning. You get to look forward to actually having a valid excuse to hit something every single day. Then if you get frustrated midway through the day, just ?accidentally? set it for five minutes from then. Sadly, it’s still a concept design, but hopefully something like this will hit the market sometime soon.
Instead of going the usual dull route of having hooks to toss your keys on, you could actually go the interesting route with this design. It could take care of your keys without taking up too much wall space. Although I wouldn’t entirely trust this if you have a love for a overabundance of keychains. It might cause your key holder to fall out of the wall if your keys weigh too much. If you do have normal keys though, it’d be a great way to make sure you don’t lose your keys quite as often.
Of course you’ll have to actually remember to hang your keys up in order for this route to work properly. It was designed by Thomas Brinch-Moller and Jacob M. Lund. Each hole has soft rubber to grip your keys and make sure they stay in place. Unfortunately, it is still a design, so won’t be sold just yet. However, if you like the style, Perpetual Kid has some cool His and Hers Key Holders. They aren’t quite up to the level of this concept design, but concept designs are always far cooler than real products.
The toothbrush is one of those inventions that don?t need any improvement. Yes, you can put a motor on it to make it work faster, and Reach has spent a lot on R&D and marketing to show that their toothbrushes are more advanced. In all honesty, the Oral-B Triumph has got to be the most advanced toothbrush that I?ve seen, and I don?t see how you could improve toothbrushes after this.
After all, how many toothbrushes come with a handheld display that is wirelessly synced to the toothbrush itself? This is what the Smart Guide display is designed to do, and the user holds it in his or her hand while he or she brushes.
The Smart Guide times the brushing, and it is recommended that you brush with the Triumph for about two minutes. You can adjust the speed settings for cleaning, massaging, polishing, and sensitive care. There is an indicator on the Smart Guide that lets you know the setting, and a warning light in case you are brushing too hard.
I got a chance to try out this product, and I will highly recommend it. I?ve written more about it here, and you can purchase the product on the official site here. The site has links to online retail sites like Best Buy and Amazon, the price varies depending on where you buy it from, but the maximum price is not over $150.
See this man in this blurry photo? He is defying gravity with a jetpack, but not the type that we normally think of when we think of the word jetpack. The fact is that most of the jetpacks that we see can only sustain a few minutes worth of flight time and are very dangerous.
Someone has invented a water jetpack that is safe, fun, and the flights last a lot longer. You can see it in action on the YouTube video after the jump.
Of course, there are some limits to the height of the Water Jetpack. As you can see, the man is tethered to a pump that is the source of the gravity-defying water pressure. There also seems to be some sort of boat thing behind him, and I?m not certain if he is controlling it, or if its just being dragged.
This water jetpack looks like the best thing to happen to water since the jet-ski. I?m not certain how long it would take you to learn how to fly this, but it looks easier than water-skiing, which is hard to get the hang of.
Well, a lot of gadget blogs have been posting this particular clip everywhere, but nothing about when it will be available to the general public. I honestly can’t wait to try it myself.
If you’re a major science geek and have finally come to the point when you want to get out of the lab, you might want this Pocket Telescope/Microscope. Then when you’re out roaming the world, if you happen to come across anything tiny and interesting, you’ll always have your microscope handy. It will also be great for when you’re star gazing, but don’t want to have to drag out the full telescope. Sometimes it’s better to keep things minimal.
You’ll never have to leave your geeky scientific curiosity at home. This little telescope/microscope could easily fit into your pocket. Although the microscope part does require an extra attachment, making the microscope part a little more bulky to carry around. The whole thing has a hard-shell case to make sure it stays clean and protected. It measures 5? but with the microscope attachment it’s 7 and 1/2?. You can pick it up for $27.50 on Lee Valley & veritas.
I guess if you really wanted 3D content on your cellular phone, you could probably load a digital copy of some movie that was originally done in 3D, like Spy Kids 3D or Shark Boy and Lava Girl.
You could also get the Ketai H001, which has a 3.1-inch 3D screen. Now I?m sure you?re wondering if there is 3D content that is ready to go, and the answer to that is probably ?no?. I doubt you can get Captain EO, and even if you could, would you want to?
I?m guessing you are going to need some glasses to view this, and you?re not going to look very cool in public. Perhaps Japan has a different idea of what is cool, because this is probably the only place you can buy one of these.
Well, considering the amount of 3D tech that was unveiled at CES 2009, I suppose there would be a demand for 3D content on mobile devices, even if it is not in demand. I mean, I would think that all the excitement of 3D would be diminished on a tiny screen.
Other features of the Ketai H001 include a 5 megapixel autofocus camera, and it looks like it has some sort of antenna on it for some mobile TV function too. Unfortunately, there is no word on when it will be available, nor any hint of a price.
Eight technologies have been predicted to have a major impact on the mobile arena over the next 2 years by analyst company Gartner, which range from new types of mobile displays, user interfaces and new wireless standards.
According to Nick Jones, VP of Gartner, it?s important to identify these techs as they are likely to evolve rapidly and will have an effect on the success of mobile strategies which are now being planned.
The 8 technologies are?new displays?Bluetooth 3.0?location sensing?mobile broadband?802.11n?mobile web?near field communication and mobile user interfaces. Guess all the mobile industry had better keep an eye out for these then.
Looks like to old cash hungry knives are out to take Apple to the cleaners yet again as an irate North California Apple iPhone owner sues Apple over 3G data connectivity.
This time it?s one Jason Medway whose out for the cash who files a 14 page suit for himself along with all Apple iPhone 3G owner in California, and alleges Apple has continued to push iPhone 3G sales although they knew its 3G data connection was faulty.
Basically same old story, Apple iPhone 3G doesn?t maintain 3G connection for as long as liked so lets see if we can take Apple for a not too small amount of compensation of only $5 million in damages.
My personal view is, it hasn?t cost them anything really so why aim for $5 million? Answer…because it?s one way to gain a few bucks if it works?greed that?s all.
Looks like Apple is slowly creeping up in their world dominance of the mobile phone arena with their Apple iPhone 3G, as Apple now commands 1.1 percent of the mobile world market.
Now 1.1 percent doesn?t sound a great deal I know, but it?s far better than the 0.3 percent the original Apple iPhone reached in 07.
According to data from ABI Research whose study gives us Apple?s new found 1.1 percent, Nokia is still the big boy with 38.6 percent while following in 2nd place is Samsung with 16.2 percent, and in joint 3rd is LG and Motorola with 8.3 percent.
