At the CTIA 2009 the Ericsson F3607gw module will be talked about and this will apparently according to Gearlog Kill Laptops From Afar.
Ericsson announced prior to the CTIA wireless industry trade show the new broadband module for laptop PCs which will automatically disable a personal computer when it receives what is called the ?poison pill? SMS text messages and this can happen even if the PC is switched off.
The release date for the Ericsson F3607gw module is June 2009 and will feature “wake-on-wireless” capability; it will however be very difficult to send the SMS of Doom. This new module will work with Windows 7 and will use less power than the previous module.
The F3607gw will only be compatible with AT&T’s 3G network, it has been said that Ericsson may build a T-Mobile compatible version sometime in the near future. Just so you know Verizon and Sprint will never be supported. The Ericsson F3607gw module will be priced at around $65.

In your office, odds are your boss buys the cheapest computers that can be found. That $300 eMachine might work just great for the receptionist whose most taxing application is Solitaire and spends most of her time entering names into a mailing list. However, if you work in a demanding field like medical imaging or at a design firm, that cheap computer is worth less than the box it came in.
For the worker needing a really powerful workstation HP has announced its new Z series line including the Z800, Z600, and Z400 workstations. The new systems use the recently announced Intel Xeon 5500 series processors featuring Intel Turbo Boost technology and integrated memory controllers.
The machines aren?t plain like most workstations we see with a brushed aluminum exterior designed by BMW Group DesignworksUSA. Inside the chassis is a modular system that has no cables and is designed for optimal serviceability. The machines will ship on April 6 with prices starting at $1,999 for the Z800, $1,679 for the Z600, and $969 for the Z400.

One of the things that sat Dell apart from its peers in its early days of operation was that you could choose the hardware inside the machine rather than simply taking what HP or other makers thought you would want. Later Dell began allowing users to choose the color of their notebooks allowing for options other than black or silver.
Dell has now announced that it will be allowing users to choose the color on two of its new Inspiron desktop computers. The two machines are the new Inspiron Slim and mini-towers. Both machines can be clad in suitably bright hues including Piano Black, Pure White, True Blue, Formula Red, Tangerine Orange, Spring Green, Plum Purple, and Promise Pink.
Under that colorful exterior buyers can choose from an array of Intel and AMD CPUs, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 750GB of storage, and either integrated graphics or ATI discrete graphics cards. The mini-tower also has a Blu-ray drive as an option. The machines are available in China now and will be offered worldwide sometime this spring at prices starting at $299.

We all know at the CTIA Wireless 2009 show in Las Vegas which starts tomorrow April 1st will be a lot about mobile phones, we must let you know that Apps will dominate also. According to Cnet the likes of Google, Microsoft, Nokia and RIM (Research In Motion) will have their fair share of the show.
Yes this is going to be very good and we will cover as much as we can, other than phones applications will be center of attention at this year?s show. The Apple Apps Store has been a major success since it allowed easy access to third party applications for iPhones, well now it seems that other companies want a piece of the pie by bringing out their very own allocation stores.
At this year’s CTIA Wireless 2009 RIM is expected to announce its brand new Apps Store ?BlackBerry AppWorld? this will come to light more and open for business and Microsoft will show off its Marketplace for the first time.
We all know even whilst we all go through the credit crunch mobile phones is big business, and this is why we always try to provide you with all the information; if we find news we publish news. We will keep you informed of all the latest news of CTIA Wireless 2009.

Up until recently my computer has been in close proximity to my TV, but now that they’ve parted ways, I’ve lost the ability to easily connect them up without having a VGA cable running between rooms. But that’s exactly the problem the Wireless USB to VGA adapter from IOGEAR solves. The USB adapter pictured on the right connects to your PC or laptop, while the VGA adapter on the left connects to your external display, getting rid of those unsightly cables in-between.
Now the range is limited to about 30 feet but you can push a half-decent resolution of either 1600×1200 (UXGA) or 1680×1050 (WSXGA+). The IOGEAR site also claims you can stream videos up to 720P in resolution, though the range is then limited to about 15 feet, and you’ll need a system with at least a 2GHz CPU. But even with those limitations it seems like a nice alternative to trying to hide cables under a rug, and you can order one directly from the IOGEAR website for $229.95.
And on a side note, even though I find it hard to believe, this is officially my 3,000th post here on OhGizmo! Thanks to everyone who checks out the site every day, I hope I’ve educated or entertained at least some of you. And thanks to David for hiring me all those years ago, and to my fellow writers here at OG! and to all the gadget bloggers who help make this job as entertaining as it is.

The word is, even though China Unicorn placed up product images of the Apple iPhone along with several other smartphones last week, China Unicorn is still in negotiations with Apple over the iPhone.
China Unicorn Chairman Chang Xiaobing has stated the negotiations with Apple are ongoing and there is still some way o go to get a deal finalised.
According to Barron?s, there are still 2 hurdles to jump, fist the Chinese law banning WiFi enabled mobile handsets, and secondly China Unicorn wanting to install their own software on the Apple iPhone which will apparently include a non-iTunes media player.
