The Darth Vader Alarm Clock Radio

by Techno Witch on April 30, 2009

This Darth Vader clock was cool and all, but it’s not nearly as ominous as this new clock that will be coming out soon from Sakara. Nothing will scare you out of the bed quite as quickly as turning over to find Darth Vader staring back at you. It helps a bit that there are numbers that glow in his eyes, therefore it’s quite clear that this is a clock. Hopefully you don’t get startled too badly and bash the clock to death with your toy lightsaber though.

If you did, then you’d have to pick up a new one and repeat the process. It’d be a much more therapeutic way to make the beeping stop though. Even if it would cost you $29.99 every single time you had to pick up a new one. At least it isn’t horribly expensive. The clock also includes an AM/FM radio and an audio jack input for MP3 players. It also has the usual things such as a snooze button with the added addition of being able to choose between three different sound effects. The alarm clock will eventually be posted on Sakar’s website, but so far it’s nowhere to be found.

The antique recreation Fargo Fan

by Techno Witch on April 30, 2009

fargo-fan

Having a fan around is always nice and this one would make a classy addition to any office or home. It was originally created in the 1920’s specifically for bankers. The Fargo Fan was made to give a really nice breeze, while at the same time not blowing around their paperwork. Making it a still convenient choice for anyone who messes with paperwork in their office quite often. This isn’t the exact same fan from the 1920’s, more of a remake actually. I don’t think that would bother anyone though.

It comes in three different finishes, one is the bright silver shown here that features a satin nickel finish base and chrome accents. Another has an oil-rubbed bronze finish base with antique brass accents and finally the last comes with a burgundy faux leather base and brushed brass accents. If forced to choose between the three, I might have a bit of a hard time. No matter which you choose though, these definitely look like something straight out of a Superman comic that might be found on the desk of a reporter at The Daily Planet. Although Fanimation has these posted online, you’ll have to contact them to find a vendor and find out how much one of these will set you back.

The Jewel Apple Necklace USB Drive

by Techno Witch on April 30, 2009

This apple very much reminds me of something you’d find on the neck of a realtor, teacher or elderly secretary. Making it a flash drive that’s likely to appeal to the older crowd, which is definitely not a bad thing. It’s probably not going to be something you find on the neck of a 20-something. For the older ladies though, this apple conveniently hides away a flash drive. It does so in a way that it’s unlikely that the drive would slip out of the necklace on accident for some reason.

The shiny apple comes in various colors, red, pink, blue and white. The white is a little less cheesy, but still comes with the bright gold chain. It’d be nice if they sold a silver colored chain to go with the necklace. It hangs on a long chain and the pendant itself weighs 40g. The drive is a 2GB drive, so it’s not very large, but it’ll still work for many people I’m sure. It’d make a great Mother’s Day gift if you’re still looking. It won’t break the bank either since it’s priced at $21.
