There never seems to be enough rumours on the Palm Pre, but this is a new one on me, as according to techcrunch, Palm is working on a second webOS handset that will be smaller and slimmer than the Palm Pre.
Apparently this new rumoured Palm Pre will address “a different part of the market,” and may or may not sport a physical keyboard.
Obviously any detains are scares but what they are calling the ?Mini Pre? will apparently land sometime this year. Well if true at the rate Palm is going with the Palm Pre release we should see this ?Mini Pre? before the Palm Pre ever gets out into the public arena.

The latest word on Android is that engadget mobile is reporting Android 1.5 is already available with T-Mobile and that the carrier may have already begun distributing Android 1.5 over the air to T-mobile G1 owners.
Now we have heard that Android 1.5 will bring with it customisable widgets, virtual keyboards, user interface tweaks, messaging enhancements and other Android goodness, so most T-Mobile G1 toting people are awaiting its arrival.
Anyway, being a T-Mobile G1 owner I can say that as yet I personally haven?t been updated to Android 1.5, nor has there been any notification to my G1 about it will be updated shortly, so I guess I?ll have to wait and see.

According to an article on canada.com, Research In Motion co-chief exec, Mika Lazaridis, is planning on continuing to hire to spur the flow of new BlackBerry smartphones, and this is despite a mobile slump.
Apparently RIM has in excess of 600 vacant positions to fill, most of which are in North America, while last year RIM has upped its workforce by 50 percent to about 12,000 employees.
The reason is apparently Mike Lazaridis and co-chief exec Jim Balsillie, are looking for the manpower to ?preserve sales growth? as analysts have predicted a decline to its lowest in at least 6 years.

Now here?s a novel video pitting the Apple iPhone against a netbook to see just which one comes out tops, neat idea.
So how do you test an Apple iPhone against a netbook? Well with a typing test of course, but to just simply type wouldn?t be that much of a test would it.
So what?s needed is to up the ante a bit, and thus you jump into a £1 million rally car alongside European Rallycroos champion Kenneth Hansen, and speed off whilst attempting to type ‘The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog’
So which came out tops, Apple iPhone or netbook? Check out the video below to find out.

Palm has announced they are in the market for a few ?real reviewers? probably to get the word out to the masses via social networking and blogging on Palm phones. Now according to mobilecrunch, this would probably be reviewing the Palm Pre, whereby the chosen few would receive a free Palm Pre and 6 months service.
All well and good, sure there are several good people who could blog and network on Palm Phones, but the Palm Pre? Difficult to offer a ?real review? on the Palm Pre unless you have your hands on one right?

So one can consider the Palm Pre won?t be part of this promotion for reviewing, that is unless of course Palm is going to give out a few complimentary ahead of release Pre handset for reviewing, if so, send one our way and we?ll review it for you Palm.
