It?s not often a package weighing some 12 ponds is delivered to the BGR via FedEx sporting a label marked Rogers Wireless of Canada, so in their excitement that ripped open the packaging to find a safe box?
There was also an envelope that contained a compass and key and the label on the safe box said ?Join the Revolution: 02-06-09??sounds interesting doesn?t it?

So what was in the safe box? It contained a smartphone, but not just a smartphone, it was the Google Android platform packing Dream. Thus it looks like Rogers Wireless now carries the HTC Dream handset. That?s all they revealed at the moment but the BGR has promised more will follow.

Not too long ago it was rumoured that the Motorola Alexander was ditched; however it may well have just reappeared over at Bluetooth SIG sporting the new Motorola ?Somerset? moniker.
Not that much can be gleaned from the post as there is only mention of a full QWERTY sliding keyboard, MMC support, a camera with Bluetooth A2DP, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
However the most important thing here is that it does look like the old Motorola Alexander has been reincarnated as the Motorola Somerset and if so then it should pack the NVIDIA 3D graphics support that the Alexander supported.

So far, AT&T had been somewhat quiet on the Android platform front, but now we do know AT&T is planning on getting into the Android game as we meet the HTC Lancaster courtesy of engadget mobile.
The AT&T branded HTC Lancaster resembles the HTC Magic in its closed form; however when it slides open looks more like an HTC Touch Pro sporting QWERTY slider. There?s tri-band EDGE along with HSPA 850/1900 MHz, Bluetooth 2.0, 3 megapixel camera, AGPS, microSD slot and a unique HTC social messaging UI.
Apparently AT&T will hold exclusivity with the HTC Lancaster for 6 months and has a target release date of the 3rd of August, no word on pricing though.
