On your marks, get set, GO?Windows Mobile developers, as the latest word on the Windows Marketplace for Mobile is that developers can now register, according to msdn.
Finally developers now have the opportunity to register to develop, test, certify and distribute their mobile applications for the Windows Marketplace for Mobile.
Apparently Windows Mobile developers on registering will gain links to vital documentation for the distribution of their mobile applications via the Windows Marketplace, so you better shake a leg developers and get to registering now and submit a complete profile.

Do we now have a partially confirmed Palm Pre release date? According to engadget mobile we might as they point out that in the Best Buy inventory stub.
This Best Buy inventory stub has been updated to show an ?In Stock Date? with that date being the 7th of June, which happens to be a Sunday which of course is a traditional Sprint launch day.

So, if you go by this Best Buy stub the launch date for the Palm Pre is now set for the 7th of June, doesn?t say what year though! I?m joking of course, but we?ve heard so many Palm Pre release dates offered up I?ll believe it when I see it happen.

Today we get to know about some juicy specification for the new iPhone 2009, well unsubstantiated ?rumoured? specs courtesy of macrumors who have been keeping their eye on a Chinese forum.
And these specs have leaked out along with a screenshot, so according to said leakage we can expect the iPhone 2009 to feature a 600MHz processor, 256MB of RAM and 32GB of storage, a 3.2 megapixel camera without auto-focus, an FM radio and a digital compass.
Furthermore the new iPhone 2009 will maintain the same shape, screen size and battery, but as I said it?s all rumour as with the video I posted earlier shows a removable battery; so I guess it?s just wait and see what comes.

Okay, so what we have here is a video preview of the new iPhone 4G smartphone, and apparently it is from Apple, now whether that is completely true I?m not sure.
Anyway judging by this supposed video for what the new iPhone 4G will look like it would appear it is titanium and glass with an OLED display, 3G, true GPS, 3.2 megapixel camera, video capable, 32GB, standard headphone jack and the much wanted removable battery.
So, if this video is a true view of what is coming in the new iPhone 4G it gives iPhones just about everything they asked for. Hit up the video below and let me know what you think.

Yes, while we wait, and wait and wait for the Palm Pre smartphone to eventually show its screen in the public domain, we keep ourselves happy with more videos.
This time round we have two videos for our readers, the first being a little email training video on the Palm Pre, its only 45 seconds long and just shows the synergy email.
The second video concerns the Palm Pre gestures which covers 2 gestures on the Palm Pre, the back swipe gesture and the double tap zoom gesture and lasts 1:07 long. Check them out below and enjoy.

It looks like AT&T and Verizon are becoming buddies with a view to AT&T purchasing some of Alltel?s assets along with some Rural Cellular and Verizon assets from Verizon Wireless according to a report on phonescoop.
Apparently AT&T made an announcement on their purchasing plans whereby AT&T will fork over $2.35 billion for licenses and network assets along with 1.5 million customers in 79 regions.
Now the thing is AT&T uses GSM, whereas Alltel?s network relies on CDMA, so what does AT&T plan on doing about that as they haven?t revealed any details of the transaction.
One could presume as Verizon is in talks with Apple over the new iPhone perhaps AT&T thinks if it to turns to CDMA maybe they will cement their ties with Apple further and possibly ousting Verizon from the iPhone?who knows?

The Apple iPhone has been the number one selling smartphone for the last two quarters, yet Research In Motion?s BlackBerry Curve outsold the iPhone in the 1st quarter of 09. However, Apple isn?t too worried as the mobile market is bustling with excitement over the upcoming new iPhone and of course the Palm Pre, reports product-reviews.
NPD has reported that the reason the RIM BlackBerry Curve outsold the iPhone in the 1st quarter of 09 was due to a Verizon Wireless ?bye-one-get-one-free? promo, and that 4 carriers carry the BlackBerry Curve while the iPhone is only available on AT&T.
If the new iPhone 2009 is released then it will no doubt place Apple back as number one, but with the Palm Pre waiting on the sidelines and expected to launch around about the same time, there may well be a battle for that number one spot.

Ah yes, well here we have yet another in the line of operating system leaks that seem to be hitting the net waves virtually everyday these days.
This one comes via that source of most BlackBerry OS leakages, CrackBerry and is 4.6.1.231 OS for the BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphone.
Can?t someone come up with better titles for these OS updates?
Anyway, the usual disclaimer with leaked operating systems follows?OS 4.6.1.231 for the BlackBerry Curve 8900 is of course not an official RIM release and therefore install at the owner?s own risk.

Apparently a recent network update caused a few problems for T-Mobile customers who use an unlocked Apple iPhone as the update apparently changed the way voicemail is sent out, and thus customers received blank messages, reports intomobile.
Upon hearing of the problem, T-Mobile answered those customers with unsupported iPhone handsets by offering a little support of their own in the form of resolving the problem in a matter of days rather than the expected six months.
Just goes to show, when a carrier wants to resolve something quickly they can, and even for something like the iPhone which T-Mobile doesn?t sell or even support. Nice one T-Mobile.
