The latest word on those AT&T iPhone 3G S upgrade prices come via businessweek, and their article states that AT&T has climbed down from their original upgrade pricing rules.

Of course the only way of knowing if an upgrader benefits is to check out their eligibility via their online account. The revised AT&T iPhone 3G S upgrade rules state both the 16GB at $199 and 32GB at $299 will be available immediately to anyone who is to become ?upgrade eligible? by September?s end.

Upgraders who become eligible in October or after might be able to gain half of the full $400 subsidy which means you get the iPhone 3G S for $399 and $499 while those without any eligibility will pay the full $599 and $699, for more hit up the link.

iPhone OS 3.0: How to send MMS, it does work

by Techno Witch on June 18, 2009

After downloading the long-awaited new Apple iPhone OS 3.0 software update we got pretty excited and had a play around, we will chat about MMS at the moment.

Many of you including ourselves went straight to the text message icon, have you noticed it does not say ?Text? anymore and now says ?Messages?? The all new messaging is brilliant, you can copy and paste messages and then send to other people, you can even add images.

At first the sending of images did not work and came up with an error saying cannot send, well you will be happy to know that patients is what you need because you will be sent a message from 1010 saying that sending images has not yet been activated, then you get sent another message after a little wait saying ?Welcome to MMS?, there is also an image within the message that says ?All done picture messaging is ready to use?.

Please let us know if your MMS is working now or not.

Videos: iPhone 3G S Video Footage

by Techno Witch on June 18, 2009

We have a couple of videos today which purports to be the 1st and 2nd YouTube videos to be recorded via an iPhone 3G S handset, and remembering that the video is affected by YouTube?s compression is does give the viewer an idea of what the iPhone 3G S is capable of.

The first video is actually somewhat disappointing as all it shows is the iPhone 3G S box and only lasts 12 seconds, but it?s the 2nd video that gives up an idea of what the iPhone 3G S video capture is fully capable of.

If the 2nd video is shot by an iPhone 3G S the images are extremely clear, so hit up the videos below and check for yourself.

We must let all of you know that Voice Control is not included with new iPhone OS 3.0 update; many of our readers are saying they cannot find the all new Voice Control with this new update.

The new Voice Control will ONLY be available with the new iPhone 3G S that is releasing Friday 19, we would love to know what you think about the new firmware update that was made available last night.

If you have any questions about the new operating system please mention them in the comments area below and we or other readers will be happy to answer them. Let us also know if you had troubles downloaded the update.

The economy is making things tough, and so we bring you what we would consider a recession beater, accessories that don?t cost the earth, and today we have the Jawbone 2 Bluetooth Headset.

The Jawbone 2 Bluetooth Headset is compatible with most Bluetooth enabled devices and features military grade noise elimination, with invisible touch controls, and is the only headset that can accurately separate speech from ambient noise.

The Jawbone 2 Bluetooth Headset incorporates Jawbone?s Voice Activity Sensor which detects and captures the frequencies of the users speech, and touch-surface tech enables the user to control just by gently pressing the outer shield. The Jawbone 2 Bluetooth Headset is available via Woot for $44.99

MLB Scores with iPhone Baseball Fans

by Techno Witch on June 17, 2009

Major League Baseball has given the green light for an iPhone application which will allow live streaming of baseball games. Called MLB at bat, the application takes full advantage of the new streaming capability of the iPhone 3.0 software, will cost around $10 and will work on both the iPhone or iPod Touch.

Users will not only be able to watch live games, but also listen to the audio feed if they want to save on battery power (and a full nine innings will sure kill the battery long before the last out on video streaming), get Game day updates and in game video highlights.

Since the iPhone 3.0 update has been pushed out as of today, the application is available now – just in time for MLBs first live streaming game, the Chicago Cubs vs. the Chicago White Sox at 2:20pm eastern time as part of a double header which also includes the Detroit Tigers vs. the St. Louis Cardinals at 8:15pm ET.

But don’t look for the Dodgers or Yankees to be coming to an iPod near you soon, MLB wants to roll out streaming gradually by only broadcasting “out of market” games – i.e., Yankee fans don’t get the Yanks and Dodger fans don’t get Chavez Ravine.

For those that are considering giving their young ones a laptop, Disney has gone in with ASUS to create two different Disney themed laptops. There is basically a male and female version, the Princess Pink you see here and Magic Blue for the boys. These kid friendly laptops allow for the kids to pick and choose a theme such as Hannah Montana or WALL-E. Don’t worry, there are features that make this laptop a little more likely to survive being abused by the kids ranging in ages from 6-12. It has a spill-proof keyboard and ShockShield protection that will save data in a fall.

These ASUS MK90 and MK90H have a total of 40 parental control options, so you can attempt to protect your kids from their never ending curiosity. These also come with a software bundle that will include Disney brand media-management software (Disney Mix), photo software (Disney Pix) and then other things such as games and widgets. As far as the machine itself goes, it runs on an Intel Atom N270 processor, with 1GB of DDR2 Ram. It also includes a VGA port, 3 USB ports and an 8.9-inch LED backlit screen with a 1,024 by 600 resolution. As well as a multi-card reader, a 0.3 MP webcam and a battery that is said to run for up to 5 hours. You can pick them up in late July for $349.99.

If you’ve ever had that creepy feeling that someday robots will be mothering all of the children of the world, well then you really won’t like this new device. It takes baby monitoring to the extreme and monitors more than just whether or not the baby is crying. It also makes sure that the only thing you’ll be picking up is the sound of your child, it has a zero interference guarantee. No only else will be able to pick up on what’s being played through the monitor either, since the connection is actually encrypted.

It’s definitely a gadget to pick up for the overly careful parent. It monitors the humidity in the room and lets you know when it’s too dry in the room, which could irritate a child’s throat. It also has a temperature sensor to make sure the baby stays comfortable. The creepy part is that it has ?specially selected lullabies? to help put the baby to sleep. The only way they could weird me out further is if the lullabies turned on automatically at optimal moments. The base unit also has a night light. It features rechargeable batteries that last 24 hours and the device has a range of about 900ft. You can purchase the device for anywhere from $150 on up to $200, just depending on what retailer you go to.
