According to an article posted on phonearena, just after Samsung announced their 4 new Samsung Omnia smartphones word went round the Samsung Omnia II would go with Verizon Wireless, but there was no word on any actual date.
Now apparently that elusive date has been made available by a tipster who apparently contacted Verizon, and thus says the Samsung Omnia II will be with Verizon Wireless in July.
So not an actual date for the Samsung Omnia II to hit Verizon Wireless, more of a sometime in the month of July kind of thing, that is of course if the tipster has it right.

It appears that some clever tech hacker has managed to port the Google Android Platform over to the Samsung Omnia i900 smartphone according to a report on androidcommunity.
Don?t get too thrilled about it though as this is still very much in the development stage and apparently is experiencing quite a few touch problems such as freezing or complete screen blackouts along with missing hardware functionality.
So basically the hacker has managed a boot up of Android on the Samsung Omnia i900, which is still a bit of progress isn?t it.

According to a post by palminfocenter, Sprint has now announced they are taking orders for the Palm Pre through their telesales department.
Apparently the Sprint announcement came via Sprint?s Twitter account, and the Sprint Palm Pre page is now displaying a note which says?”To order your Palm Pre today, please call 1-866-866-7509″

However, for whatever reason, online ordering of the Palm Pre is still unavailable, but going via the telesales route Sprint says wait times for shipping are currently 5 to 7 business days, so if you go that route you could have your Palm Pre within a week.

According to figures posted by macworld, video uploads to YouTube via mobile has increased some 400% since the launch of the iPhone 3GS.
That is quite a substantial increase and is part of an overall 1700% increase year to date. But wait there?s more as they originally misread the figures and the figure is actually 400% Per Day!!
This just goes to show that video recording and uploading to YouTube with the iPhone 3GS must be extremely easy and will no doubts continue to push that number upwards as iPhoners gain more experience uploading to YouTube.

Some hands-on action has been going on over at engadget mobile as they give the BlackBerry Tour some hands-on attention.
The BlackBerry Tour smartphone is destined for both Verizon Wireless and Sprint, and the guys make a comparison between the BlackBerry Tour, BlackBerry Curve and BlackBerry Bold.
They say the BlackBerry Tour looks to be a minor modification to the BlackBerry Curve but does seem thicker, while the BlackBerry Bold seems ?positively overwrought? in the comparison. Still they have posted several images for you to drool over so follow the link and check them out.
