Synaptics aims to break new ground by offering yet another updated version of its highly rated ClearPad solution, culminating in the advanced multi-touch ClearPad 3000 Series capacitive touch sensor solution. Arriving at this solution is no fluke for the company, as they have long built upon the success of Synaptics’ patented, flagship ClearPad touchscreen solution, where the new 3000 Series will bring together Synaptics’ best-in-class ClearPad sensing technology alongside their exclusive design-in services, making life a whole lot easier for OEMs and ODMs of mass-market mobile handsets and other handheld devices who want to include the in-vogue high-resolution capacitive touchscreens with advanced multi-finger gesture capability into their products. Guess what Synaptics is trying to say is this – companies who use their displays are able to release products to the market faster with a higher degree of reliability.
What makes the spanking new ClearPad 3000 Series so different from the rest of the displays in the same market? Well, you’d be astounded to know that it is able to distinguish up to 10 simultaneous finger touches (unless you’re born with more than ten digits on both hands, chances are you’ll literally have your hands full with any device using this display!), alongside the ability to recognize complex multi-finger gestures (such as pinch and rotate) with fine accuracy and low latency. Hmmm, perhaps future devices using the ClearPad 3000 Series sensors will definitely be able to hold their own or go up against the iPod touch and iPhone, depending on how good a company’s programmers are in order to come up with an easy and intuitive user interface. The ClearPad 3000 Series is based on new, proprietary Synaptics technology will boasts four dozen (!) sensing channels and advanced power management, trumpeting the case for an 8″ display with superior accuracy without doing a number on your battery life.
If your company is interested, the Synaptics ClearPad 3000 series engineering samples will be abailable for general release will be available in November 2009.

In second place we have the Washable Keyboard.
The Washable Keyboard is perfect if you like to keep your work station clean. Its amazing how many germs and pieces of food get onto your keyboard in a short space of time and with the Washable Keyboard it makes cleaning it so simple. With a normal keyboard its pretty much impossible to clean them properly as most are not waterproof. With this being 100% waterproof it means your keyboard won?t stop working if you happen to spill your drink on it either.

Finally in third place comes the ClimbStation – A treadmill for climbers.
ClimbStation is like a vertical treadmill that revolves at a top speed of 17 meters per minute. In fact, the Climbstation can automatically adjust the scrolling speed to match the user?s climbing speed, or lack thereof.

Toshiba knows that a man’s home is his castle, although the queen yield considerably far more power in the confines of the castle compared to the king figurehead. Well, we suppose both parties can always find it easier to bury the hatchet whenever there is a full on argument concerning one of life’s little details, where a well designed and tastefully furnished could go some ways in helping couples reach an agreement before their anger boils over into bitter fights. Hence, Toshiba has decided to announce its latest addition to their comprehensive 2009 LCD TV/DVD combination line up, offering the brand new Stainless Style model which in essence, is an all-in-one entertainment centre that merges both style and innovation with picture excellence, boasting a stainless steel look that is in vogue in many kitchens throughout the world.

Are you experiencing problems with the build quality of the Palm Pre smartphone? There has been word of gaps and play with the Palm Pre, but this is taking the biscuit.
According to an article posted on prethinking a Palm Pre owner had his Palm Pre replaced due to it ?twisting? completely out of his shell, although it was replaced without much hassle and one would think so too.
Furthermore, the guy, Royar said that when he took the ?twisting? Palm Pre to a Sprint repair centre they said they weren?t allowed to attempt to fix the smartphone and advised he try to get a replacement.
Anyone else out there experiencing build problems with the Palm Pre?

With big companies like Qualcomm to get them to change anything you need to go for the pocket and hit them where it hurts, Qualcomm is no stranger to this type of legal action.
So they are being hit again as a report on Bloomberg has it that South Korea?s antitrust authorities have determined Qualcomm is guilty of some illicit goings on and have slammed a whopping $209 million fine on the company.
Qualcomm deals with mobile phone makers LG and Samsung, and the South Korean Agency claims Qualcomm offers better deals to companies which deal exclusively with Qualcomm and thus shuns any competition, of course Qualcomm denies the accusations.

The ever forthcoming Garmin-Asus nuvifone G60, a device that has taken longer to materialise than probably any other mobile phone and no it?s still not available just yet.
But, the Garmin-Asus nuvifone G60 is apparently about to ship in the Far East, and a reviewer in Malaysia via mytechnews has managed to snap some screens of the elusive nuvifone.

So while we wait, and wait, and wait for the Garmin-Asus nuvifone G60 we always have a bunch of screens of the user interface to keep everyone interested, or maybe not.

The iPhone 3GS is still exclusive to AT&T, but all good thing eventually come to an end as the saying goes, and this will happen with AT&T eventually.
Apparently according to an article over on Cnet, AT&T CEO, Randall Stephenson has stated that “there will be a day when you are not exclusive with the iPhone,” which is kind of obvious, but still a turnaround from what he has been previously saying.
Stephenson made the statement during Fortune?s Brainstorming: Tech Conference although Stephenson didn?t elaborate on any AT&T negotiation with Apple to maintain their exclusivity over the iPhone.

Apple stopped the Palm Pre webOS from syncing with iTunes 08, but Palm is having none of that as they have now made available the Palm Pre webOS 1.1.0 update, which they claim ?resolves an issue preventing media sync from working with latest version of iTunes (8.2.1)”
Obviously Apple isn?t going to take this laying down so one could expect iTunes 8.2.2 to hit in the not too distant future.
Other stuff in Palm Pre webOS 1.1.0 is?NFL Mobile Live from Sprint?while feature changes include calendar, clock, camera, contacts, email, messaging, system, phone, web and YouTube; for more hit up the link.
