by Techno Witch on July 14, 2009

The first Palm Pre advert was back in June and was called ?Flow? well now Palm has pushed out another ?Meet the Palm? advert and we have said advert for your viewing pleasure which is located below.

This new Palm Pre advert take a more simpler approach although I found it somewhat boring and doesn?t really do the Palm Pre any justice, something to put one to sleep

So let?s hope the next commercial for the Palm Pre smartphone takes things to the limits and is far more entertaining than this woman just talking to the screen

For some reason a guy has managed to boot Windows 95 onto an iPhone 3G handset, and we have the video of Microsoft Windows 95 on the iPhone for your viewing pleasure below.

The boot process to get Windows 95 on the iPhone 3G takes a staggeringly long 5 to 10 minutes to deliver an environment that is fairly useless.

Below is the video which demonstrates Windows 95 on the iPhone and within the Mac emulator. Just why anyone would want Microsoft Windows 95 to run on the iPhone 3G is anyone?s guess.

The main asset of the Nokia N97 is its versatility and superb camera although the N97 does come with a lumpy stylus while some of the applications freeze especially Facebook.

Basically the Nokia N97 is a high maintenance phone that needs a lot of thinking about when operating.

iPhone Battery Life: Power Saving Tips

by Techno Witch on July 14, 2009

Every iPhone toting iPhoner at some stage complains about the life of the iPhone battery, but there are things the iPhoner can do to conserve battery life and the Examiner has come up with a few ways.

The main drain on iPhone battery life is push notification; more so email accounts that are set to push. So setting your email to fetch from a server rather than be pushed will conserve that battery life.

Although iPhone OS 3.0 delivers push notification, many other applications are utilising push and can also go towards draining that battery so disable push on any application you don?t really need it to work on.

Turn off that WiFi or 3G when you don?t need it also turn off the Bluetooth and GPS as they all drain the battery even when not being used. Adjust brightness and turn off auto-brightness as this too with conserve power.

Canada?s Telus has now joined the carriers of the new RIM BlackBerry Tour and is now offering the latest Research In Motion BlackBerry for $229.99 on a 3 year agreement according to a post on the BGR.

Conversely, if you don?t fancy signing a contract Canadians can gain the BlackBerry Tour off contract for $599.99.

Telus has also officially announced the HTC Touch Pro2 and the HTC Snap as coming soon, so it is likely they will see the HTC Snap on the 15th of July and the HTC Touch Pro2 on the 21st of July, although as the BlackBerry Tour has been brought forward a couple of days the Snap and Touch Pro2 could do the same.
