The Japanese manufacturer is coming to Europe with a powerful smartphone, Panasonic Eluga. The new model has a capacitive 4.3 inch OLED QHD display with resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. The device is extremely light – weighing only 103g – and has a thickness of 7.8 mm.
Among the defining characteristics that stand out are its resistance to water and dust, in accordance with international standard IP57. Panasonic Eluga is made to last for half an hour at a depth of one meter underwater. The smartphone holds up to eight hours if left near or in powder consisting of particles of 75 microns.
The new Panasonic’s smartphone comes equipped with a dual-core processor that has a frequency of 1 GHz, OMAP4430 chip, ROM memory of 8 GB and 1 GB SDRAM. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone features GPS, 3G, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, NFC (Near-field communication), 3.5 mm audio jack and microUSB.
Eluga has 8 MP (3264 x 2448 pixels) camera with autofocus, image stabilization and digital zoom of 6.74 xs. The gadget has Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, an update to Ice Cream Sandwich following to be available this summer.
The phone has a Li-Ion 1150 mAh capacity, which allows autonomy of up to four hours in talk and over 12 days in standby.
Panasonic Eluga will be available in Europe starting from April.
