Intentional or not, the leak gives an almost complete picture about the new Desire C, even though HTC has not yet held the formal presentation event.
The yet incomplete list with confirmed specifications covers almost all key issues. Desire C is a smartphone with a 3.5 inch screen that supports a 320×480 pixels resolution. On the connectivity part, we have support for 3.5G mobile Internet sessions, namely access to WiFi N networks.
The operating system is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It remains to be seen how Desire C will handle it, since the installed processor is a model with only 600 MHz frequency.
HTC has equipped this model with a 4 GB internal memory, a camera with 5MP resolution and an A-GPS receiver for navigation, respectively the Geotagging function. Under the back cover of the phone hides a Li-Ion 1230 mAh, which should provide a pretty good autonomy, given the modest processor and not very large screen.
The catalogue published by Vodafone Portugal seems to indicate the imminent launch of the new smartphone.
Until new information coming directly from HTC yard, we find, however, that the retail price set for Desire C model is less than 200 euro, enough for many to overlook the modest specifications. For the price paid, Vodafone Portugal users receive in the package of accessories a stereo ear headset too, and a set of 10 songs in MP3 format, available for free download.
