If you fancy owning a Verizon Wireless branded RIM BlackBerry Storm now is the time to grab one as due to the BlackBerry Storm2 soon to be hitting Verizon, they have now decided to drop the price on the original handset according to an article on engadget mobile.

Obviously Verizon Wireless is hoping to shift some inventory to make room for the new Storm and so they have lowered the price of the BlackBerry Storm 9530 to $99.99 on contract.

As they say, any reduction is a good reduction so if you fancy some of that SurePress touch screen action then go get it at a reduced price, or you could hold out for the new BlackBerry Storm2 of course.

Now here we have a bit of nostalgia for you. If you are British and over a certain age you?ll remember the old red K6 public telephone boxes that could be found across the country several years back.

Well if you fancy owning a mobile phone that resembles that nostalgic telephone icon, now?s your chance as Pocket-Lint reports on the London Calling Mobile Phone.

The London Calling Mobile Phone is an actual working unlocked handset that features tri-band GSM, colour display, with SMS and MMS functionality, and with preinstalled ringtones ?Rule Britannia? and ?God Save the Queen.?

The London Calling Mobile Phone commands a price tag of just £58.95 and is ready for pre-order as of now.

If you had in your possession the new Research In Motion BlackBerry Tour smartphone would you take tools to it and disassemble the handset and put it back together?

No I didn?t think so, but thanks to engadget mobile we can view the new BlackBerry Tour being taken apart and put back together courtesy of a video by GSM Phone Unlocking, who aren?t so shy at ripping a new smartphone apart.

The BlackBerry Tour complete disassembly and reassemble video last for just over five and a half minutes and can be viewed below.

It would appear there is a new Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM build available with quite some changes to the user interface according to an article posted on 1800pocketpc.

The word is that Microsoft has realised how important finger friendly user interfaces are and have made some good changes to Windows Mobile 6.5.

This may not come as a surprise as AT&T has already mentioned these two mobile phones would be going on sale as of Sunday, but it is now official as AT&T makes available the Sony Ericsson C905a and the Sony Ericsson W518a Walkman handsets.

The Sony Ericsson C509a with 8 megapixel camera is only available in silver and commands a price tag of $179.99 on a 2 year agreement and after any rebates.

Blockbuster Inc. will further expand its horizons when it comes to the range of consumer electronics on offer in its stores, as the company has recently unveiled news that they will be selling a netbook as well across a thousand Blockbuster stores throughout the US. These netbooks are targeted to provide consumers with a way to access entertainment regardless of where they are (thought that was already made possible with the iPod many, many moons ago), where the netbook in question would be the Archos 10 developed by none other than the namesake itself, Archos. The Archos 10 will take the best from Archos’ capabilities when it comes to manufacturing quality portable media players, throwing in additional computing power with an emphasis on mobility, connectivity and multi-media capabilities in a single device. All Archos 10 netbooks sold from Blockbuster will come with an embedded link to www.blockbuster.com.

According to Joanne DeLorenzo, vice-president, product for Blockbuster Inc., “Blockbuster strives to provide consumers with convenient access to media entertainment when and where they want it. Enhancing our consumer electronics offerings with an affordably priced netbook that allows customers to access our online rental, retail and download services, whether they’re at home or on the road, is a natural fit.”

Blockbuster has priced the Archos 10 netbook at a mere $299.99, which is considerably cheaper than other netbooks in the market although we will have to take a look at the specifications to see whether the price is justified or not. We do know that the Archos 10 will tip the scales at no more than 2.8 pounds, where it will be powered by an Intel Atom processor, featuring a 10″ ultra-bright LED display, a small keyboard, Wi-Fi connectivity, 1GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive, an integrated webcam, all the while running on Windows XP Home with applications such as Lotus Symphony, Outlook Express, Internet Explorer, parental controls, virus protection and multi-media applications all pre-installed for instant out-of-the-box use.
